NEWCREST CADIA GOLD MINE HDD
POWER INFRASTRUCTURE INSTALLATION
Completed on behalf of Maxibor Australia, CT Civil delivered HDD power conduit installation works for new infrastructure facilities at Newcrest’s Cadia Gold Mine in NSW.
The HDD alignment passed beneath existing infrastructure and across active haul road interfaces requiring controlled drilling practices, deep entry angles and accurate bore management throughout rocky ground conditions.
Works were completed safely and in accordance with project delivery requirements within an active mining environment.
LONG DISTANCE ENVIRONMENTAL BORES
GOULBURN MURRAY WATER PROJECT
CT Civil completed multiple kilometres of trenchless pipeline installation for the Goulburn Murray Water project near Mitiamo within environmentally sensitive operating conditions.
Works required careful drilling fluid management, staged bore planning and strict environmental controls to minimise frac risk and maintain protection of surrounding ecosystems throughout the drilling program.
The project was completed with a strong focus on environmental management, operational control and clean project delivery.
LACHLAN RIVER CROSSING
LARGE DIAMETER HDD RIVER CROSSING
Completed on behalf of Maxibor Australia, CT Civil delivered a 270m large diameter HDD river crossing near Condobolin, NSW.
Works included installation of 450mm product pipe through a 600mm HDD bore beneath the Lachlan River within mixed sand, gravel, silt and low clay ground conditions.
The project required careful drilling fluid management and bore stabilisation practices to maintain bore integrity throughout the crossing.
Works were completed safely and accurately in accordance with project delivery requirements.
GILLIESTON HEIGHTS, NSW - SEMI GRADED PRESSURE RISING SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE
On behalf of Maxibor Australia, CT Civil delivered a series of large diameter HDD installations for a semi graded pressure rising sewer main within the Gillieston Heights region of NSW.
The project involved installation of 400mm HDPE product pipe through 600mm HDD bores ranging from 200m to 300m in length across sandstone, siltstone and weathered rock formations. The works required controlled drilling methodologies, staged hole opening, drilling fluid recovery, pullback coordination and ongoing bore management to maintain alignment, installation tolerances and construction performance throughout delivery.
CT Civil completed the works safely and in accordance with project delivery requirements within an active civil infrastructure corridor.
CABOOLTURE, QLD
LARGE DIAMETER HDD INSTALLATION
Completed on behalf of Maxibor Australia, CT Civil completed a 140m large diameter HDD installation within the Caboolture region of QLD.
The works involved installation of 560mm product pipe through a 750mm HDD bore within reactive clay and mixed ground conditions requiring close monitoring of bore stability, drilling fluid performance and reaming operations throughout the installation.
The project was completed safely and efficiently while maintaining controlled HDD operations throughout the bore program.
